Cars have always been fascinating

Cars are always a favorite with any driver. There are so many models of them that it becomes hard to choose one. Car shows can be one event where it is possible to see a variety of cars in one place. Online car videos and pictures are also available for customers to choose from. Car manufacturers set up their online sales sites that can be viewed by customers the world over.

Charity or sports, cars chip in here also. Car races are often conducted by clubs that use the funds for charity. Sometimes bikini car wash events are also conducted to pool in the extra funds. Whatever be the model of the car, the craze for them will never cease.

BMW 1 Series Coupe

The long bonnet, the muscular front and wide rear make the BMW 1 Series coupe look impressive. Both the BMW 135i and the 125i house twin turbo straight six-cylinder engines.

The twin turbo straight six cylinder engine in the BMW 135i is unique in its class. Two small turbochargers function in parallel to pump compressed air into the combustion chambers. The engine is capable of generating 306 HP and the car can achieve a 0-100 km/h in just 5.3 sec. The BMW 125i needs 6.4 sec to do a 0-100 km/h and has a top end of 245 km/h.

The BMW 120d and 123d are equipped with four-cylinder diesel engines. The BMW 123d happens to be the world’s first four-cylinder engine with variable twin turbo. Two different sized turbochargers are deployed sequentially and extra power is dispensed right across the rev range. The performance achieved is commendable, with the engine capable of generating 204 HP. The fuel economy is excellent too. Since the engine block is now made of aluminum, the weight is reduced by 20 kg. BMW cars have great handling and have always been sporty.

Check Out the Ravishing ThunderFlite T-Bird at SEMA 2008

ThunderFlite T-Bird was the show stealer and one among the glorious makes to have been displayed at this year’s SEMA Show. 'Popular Mechanics' also named ThunderFlite as the best among the list of its 12 coolest cars of SEMA 2008 .

ThunderFlite T-Bird, a brainchild of Suzie and Dean Arnold, who always dreamt of building a rare show car, used 1961 Thunderbird as the base car. Known for building custom cars and Hot rods, Arnolds took the help of their friend Don Johnson to finalize the design.

Most of the visitors to SEMA 2008 mistook it for a vintage car rather than a modern custom. The best thing one would like about this flamboyant 1960's hot rod is its double bubble roof. Even the front hood and the grille are uniquely designed giving the custom car its own charisma.
